Really See

Really See

You see me

Not the shield

You see me

For me

Really see

No pretenses

Nothing hidden

Or disguised

I read your face

Like a map I’ve looked at for years

The hustle, the grind, the exhaustion

Your exhilaration & joy

I see you

As much as you see me

Maybe more

Really see

Author: JJ Taylor

Many have shared that I am the strongest woman they know. I would disagree... when life kicks you in the teeth there is only one place to look and that is UP! I will be sharing my poetry, random thoughts, my hopes, my dreams, defining my strength and my faith. I'm honest, raw and real. I'm writing more for me, but perhaps someone will find my words that will help you in a profound way

      1. Yes, it would be. But society encourages and teaches us to hide those parts. We then fear to be judged and not to conform only to lose our authentic selves replacing with the ‘fake’ personalities. Your thoughts on this are really nice and admirable. The post is enlightening.
