Masks

You wear your masks so perfectly
Hidden secrets
Smoldering anger
Deep sadness
You
Don’t
Know
Who
You
Are
But those masks
So perfected
You’re funny
You’re laughing
But your eyes
Are flat and tired
Your makeup is
Perfection
You move with
Such precision
Intention
All for others
Do
You
Know
Who
You
Are?
Those masks
Will crack
And pieces
Shatter
All over the floor
Broken pieces
Find yourself
Get help
Seek joy
Return to who
You are called to be
Do you know Him?
Hear Him calling?
Only grace
Will remove
Those masks
To find
The authentic
You
That
You ARE meant
To be

Author: JJ Taylor

Many have shared that I am the strongest woman they know. I would disagree... when life kicks you in the teeth there is only one place to look and that is UP! I'm writing more for me, but perhaps someone will find my words that will help you in a profound way
